Pampered myself this week and got a haircut. :) Feels so much better! I had a wonderful week of fun! First I got a haircut which is a real treat! Also went fabric shopping with my mom! Fun fun FUN! Got all the fabric for the baby's room. We're making curtains, a bed skirt, a quilt, and possibly some pillows. It's been a long process trying to decide what to get, but we finally found something we're happy with. Jared and I originally decided to do greens and browns in the nursery since we had a green and brown rug, BUT...never found any fabric we loved. Then we went shopping and found the cutest pictures for baby's wall, and we went with those- we're going with a space theme in primary colors! Mom and I found space fabric with other dotted and stripped fabric to go with it in primary colors. Love it. This week I also got to spend some time with some friends- Jill and Becky! It was great seeing Jill again after so long. We swam for quite awhile and just got to hang out. It was great seeing them. I did get a tidge burned though. My belly got BRIGHT red and was pretty uncomfortable for a few days. Still putting lotion and aloe on it- praying it doesn't peel.
I also had a doctor's appointment this week. My blood pressure looked great. My pee (according to the nurse) had a high level of sugar. She asked what I had just eaten, and I had just downed a big glass of orange juice. :) So, no concerns there. Did go up quite a bit in my weight. I think I gained 7 pounds in 2 weeks. Wow. :( Doctor wasn't concerned though. He said it was probably a lot of water weight due to the high heat and humidity. Otherwise, baby's heart rate was in the 150's, and I asked about where the baby is laying (trying to see if I figured it right). And I did!! Baby's head is down and he's laying on my right side facing my left, so I feel his legs up high and his hands are making the tiny movements down low. I love finding out exactly where he is and knowing that I KNEW that's where he was.
