Week 38

Baby could be here anyday. This week has been hard. It's hard knowing baby could come tonight...or...it could come in 3 weeks. I'm pleasantly happy with how I'm dealing with it though. I was talking to Jared last night and saying that if it were a year ago and was trying to decide how I would be feeling a week before the baby's due, I wouldn't be feeling this relaxed and okay. :) So, I'm pretty happy. Other than just being anxious about him being here, I feel content and happy. Pretty much everything is ready. Bags are packed and sitting in the kitchen. Nursery is all set up. Really can't think of much/anything I still need to buy. House is a mess, but as soon as it's clean, it's messy again. Probably going to clean again today (whatever I can do to bring on labor). Jared and I have been taking walks nearly every night which has been wonderful. During one walk this week, I think Wednesday night, the short walk caused 3 big ol' contractions. I got a little excited, but got home, sat down, drank a glass of water and they stopped. One more contraction later while trying to fall asleep, but nothing else since. Bummer. Mariah was over all week too- keeping me entertained. It was nice having someone to hang out with for the week. She got overly excited every time I'd move, thinking I was going into labor...hon, it's not that easy.

Doctor appointment on Wednesday went well. Blood Pressure good. Went down a few pounds..strange. Doctor said baby's head was down and then told me I've made "No Progress". Another bummer. Ted nicely informed me that that meant I'll have a slow, long labor. Thanks, Ted. Doc also said the baby was around 6 and 3/4 pounds but that could be up or down a whole pound. It's good hearing he won't be too huge! I did make my appointment for the week following my due date (August 4), so we'll see if I make it to that appointment.
