Week 6

Alright, time to update the pregnancy a bit. A couple days ago, I posted about the night we found out- that was week 5. It's now about week 11, so I'll update quick so I don't get behind.

So, here is my Week 6 picture.

Week 6 was a little scary. I started spotting Tuesday night and it didn’t stop until Sunday night. Thursday I called the clinic and they wanted me to come in for an ultrasound. Fortunately we didn’t have school because of the big blizzard we had on Wednesday. Jared also didn’t have school, so I was so glad he could go with me. We went in and had an internal ultrasound, and as soon as the ultrasound was set, we saw the most amazing sight every- a fluttering “butterfly” on the screen in a big, black circle. The fluttering butterfly was our baby’s heartbeat! It was such a relief to know that our little baby was in there and already had a heartbeat..at 6 weeks! We also heard the heartbeat- 115 beats per minute.

Today they told me my official due date is August 1. So…July or August baby! This makes me a little nervous with school starting mid-August, but what can you do? Nothing at all. And that’s OKAY. Because it will be okay.
