Wow, it’s been a long time, yet again. I’ve had a few people tell me I need to update, and I’ve promised a few other people that I would, so here I am. Let’s see, last time I updated, October…a LOT has changed. J Most of you know the excitement- but, we are going to have a BABY and we are Thrilled! At this moment, I am 10 weeks 1 day. Give or take a day… Due August 1.
So, now that the two of us are becoming three, I’ll have more to update you on. So, this might become a “pregnancy blog” for a little while (7 or 8 more months) and then we’ll have baby pictures to share with you. So, grin and bear a few bare belly pictures and a few “I’m tired” posts, and we’ll get to real babies soon.
So, flash back, we have a few weeks to catch you up on (most of them involve a lot of smiling and laughing- but you’ll see that in the pictures)………………..
I actually wrote this on November 26th, but for some reason didn’t put it on the blog (well, because we didn’t want the whole world to know everything yet).
Happy Thanksgiving! We were blessed last night with a Thanksgiving gift....we're going to be parents! Wow! I had a little inkling so I stopped by the store to pick up a test. Finally, I had to go to the bathroom and I saw the vertical line come up right away. Didn't think much and went downstairs to wait the 3 minutes with Jared. He came back up with me to check- and there was a PLUS sign! I didn't believe it. I kept saying, “What does that say?” “What does that mean!?” Jared said, “I think that means you're pregnant!” I was so unbelieving that Jared thought I was playing a trick on him. Ummm..no. :) After a couple minutes, I decided we had to go to Target to pick up another test b/c the one before was Hy Vee Brand...and who knows about those. I wanted a more expensive one to verify. Went to Target, picked up our “Expecting” books, a pregnancy test, and a stuffed musical giraffe for our little baby. Wouldn’t you know, but the “expensive” brand gave the same results as the “cheap” brand! :) Still in shock all night, but very happy.
In the middle of the night, my first bout of morning sickness hit me. Really? THE night I find out? Makes me think it's all in my head... But, I've been sick all day and finally feel better and it's 9:00 at night. Sigh...I pray I can handle this- especially at school. I finally ate something of substance 10 minutes ago. Maybe a half cup of cheddar broccoli rice. Hope it stays down!
We're so excited. Jared just keeps looking at me with a big smile. I love it.
Here I am, trying to figure out when I will be due..November, plus 9 months...
And, here it is, my first belly picture. This was the night we found out we were pregnant. I was 5 weeks.
